1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using BuilderHelp ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

BuilderHelp is a construction project management platform that provides tools for managing construction projects, including but not limited to:

  • Project tracking and management
  • Invoice processing and expense tracking
  • Gmail integration for automatic invoice scanning
  • Team collaboration and communication
  • Document management
  • Financial reporting and analysis

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Gmail Integration

4.1 Authorization

By connecting your Gmail account, you authorize BuilderHelp to:

  • Access your Gmail inbox to scan for invoices, statements, bills, and receipts
  • Download PDF attachments from matching emails
  • Extract invoice data from PDFs
  • Store invoice information in your BuilderHelp account

4.2 Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have the right to grant us access to your Gmail account
  • Reviewing and verifying invoice data extracted by our service
  • Disconnecting your Gmail account if you no longer wish to use this feature
  • Complying with Google's Terms of Service when using Gmail integration

4.3 Revocation of Access

You may disconnect your Gmail account at any time through your account settings. Disconnecting will immediately revoke our access to your Gmail account and stop all scanning activities.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Impersonate any person or entity

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by BuilderHelp and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of all data you upload or create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use, store, and process your data as necessary to provide the Service.

7. Payment and Billing

7.1 Subscription Plans

BuilderHelp offers various subscription plans. By subscribing, you agree to pay the fees associated with your selected plan.

7.2 Billing

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis
  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
  • We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account

7.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your paid period.

8. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the Service will be available 100% of the time. The Service may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Technical issues or failures
  • Third-party service outages
  • Force majeure events

We are not liable for any damages resulting from Service unavailability.

9. Data Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy in invoice data extraction, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. You are responsible for:

  • Reviewing all extracted invoice data
  • Correcting any errors or inaccuracies
  • Verifying invoice information before using it for business decisions

We are not liable for any losses or damages resulting from inaccurate data extraction.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUILDERHELP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BuilderHelp, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
  • We may delete your account and data
  • All Gmail connections will be automatically disconnected

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which BuilderHelp operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
